Dear Lucille,Still no word from or about Tom. I decided to look through his briefcase. And bearing in mind all of the chastisement I have received from you about my delving erroneously into historical events, I discovered yet another coincidence. Always in the "Cox and Berry" cases, there was always a prop introduced concerning the grape. For instance, George Washington had his fatal battle at Brandywine. Robert Livingston wrote a beautiful poem, in which he compared someone (who was later assassinated) to a vine or grapes of royal vintage. Always a reference to this prop of grapes was made. It all goes back to an ancient work called "Pharsalia," describing Cleopatra and the attempt to kill Caesar and other horrific wars of revenge, etc. I haven't really read the whole classic--but the pertinent parts are about killing some high-born or noble person over, among other things, a supposed offence made concerning something about grapes. Well in Tom's briefcase, there is a spiral spine publication called "Project Grape." Also his plastic identity card for Ashland, and some data about his bank account, which I presume they requested at his job. (No one here can use it). As for your condemnation of my interpretations, I will just say, that you were the first person I ever expressed these facts to, but as you know I am under a lot of surveilance and maybe some of the spies saw websites I had visited that might give me a clue to these ideas. I was keeping them entirely to myself. But there are such things as mind-readers and plenty of them here. And that means there is not even enough Democracy in this kingdom here for a person to think his own private thoughts.
