Dear Lucille,I called the airport and asked for the telephone number of the medical center and I was given the number of first aid, but he didn't seem to be in either of these places. Then I called his hotel again at 6:16, but I still don't know if he checked in. They transferred me several times and a number was ringing but there was no answer. I left a message that he should call me as soon as possible. Then I called the airport to ask for the number of the Mortuarium, they asked me where he came from. I said Amsterdam, then Great Britain. I was told that "at the moment he wasn't there." But that could mean something more than face value. So that is my position. I will call his hotel tomorrow to see if he checked in. That's all I know to do at the moment. They have changed the websites of the airports so drastically since the time, when I was trying to buy a ticket online to the US, that it is almost impossible to find simple information about arrival of flights and whether passengers were on flights, etc. Here from where I am, it is like going through a war-zone to go anyplace. Of course, I won't get much sleep waiting to find out the outcome of this trip.
