Dear Lucille,In connection with the Shayne problem, I have taken the following steps today:I did not go to the Police but I did call Shayne's place of work 3x; the first time, I wasn't given information about her schedule and they wouldn't or couldn't leave her a message; the second time was at night (I was told to try then) a male voice said he had just talked with her and if I tried calling her, then, I would probably reach her I called but got Voice I called her company again and this time a woman's voice said she was not there and she didn't know Shayne's schedule (usually a roster is found with her scheduled activities) but the voice added that she must not be coming in tonight, because someone else was at the cash register machine.
I called Shayne again and this time, a swoosh sound came through and then the "horn" was put down
I tried again. Again, a wind like sound and in the background a voice or two. I shouted, "I can't hear. I can't understand." Faintly I heard a male voice, speaking Spanish to someone in the background. Then the receiver was put down.
I tried again, but this time, I got Voice.
I call Shayne 6 times in total (described in the above passage)
call Vodaphone to learn if they knew whether my number is blocked on her instrument . Vodaphone said they couldn't give out information but after explaining I didn't need personal info, he said: my number was not blocked through them (customer service) failed to call the university. As I wrote you at the time, I was told over the phone that she was enrolled but the person who told me that refused to send a receipt to me. Just before I had spoken with another woman who said Shayne was not enrolled and I had asked if she could become enrolled late? That was still a possibility. But when I called back (in two minutes), another lady answered and said that Shayne was indeed enrolled. So my point is I was told that Shayne was enrolled, so why is she not enrolled?etc.
I failed to tackle the Post Office and their unauthorize deductions from Shayne's account. I will get back to that another time.
I failed to warn Shayne that I her PIN code, if known, can soon be used to invade her account and to get a card, which would legitimize the identity thief's possession of her account. Sincerely,
