Dear Lucille,I know you will now be making intense plans for your trip. Are any of your students going? You wrote before that many had backed out at the last moment. As I wake up this morning with questions about Shayne still unanswered, I can only think that time is of the essence and I wish you would phone Shayne once more and if Shayne should answer, ask Shayne where she is residing. I will say this, the last time I saw her back in mid October I believe, Shayne was anxious to find and fill in a form pertaining to the new health insurance laws that have been recently passed here. All private insurance has been discontinued and everyone will be required to pay large amounts each month for the state insurance!? I think there was also a donor organ appendix to the form she filled out. I remember, Shayne looked at me and said, "You will also have to take the insurance, too, Rada." Apparently, she had to deliver this form, filled in, to someone. I don't know to whom.Your call was the only call that has gotten through to her of the calls made by members of this family. We can't locate her in person. This is unprecedented, unjustified behavior. There are urgent, unfinished matters concerning Shayne's affairs. I have never known her to be so hard to contact ever before. She gave no indication that she had any intention of cutting off all contact. Our phones are bugged I believe and Shayne has no email or Internet. I____ didn't seem to know her house number exactly. She didn't answer the question, perhaps by oversight, about where she saw Shayne. It is best to get this information from Shayne. You might not reach her. Then there is nothing further that can be done to clear up the matter.
