Resurrection?
Hello,After I had given up all hope of ever learning what happened to Shayne, she called on May 9th and invited us to see her house. It was still quite cluttered with drill and screws, boxes, etc. But it promises to be nice. She had painted the walls and had dresed the windows beautifully. The floor is wood. Her bedroom door opens onto a back garden and she had the sliding doors open, letting in hundreds of mosquitoes. Two slender, young women were there assisting her. But I know she has been through an ordeal, because, since I saw her in Sept/October she has aged about 40 years. Her skin is several shades darker and her hips and thighs have become abnormally huge. We expect to see her again soon, to bring some things over. Evidently she hasn't lived in tbe house long, but I can't discuss her disappearance because she always seems to be chaperoned. In reply to your last letter, I can only say, that I think I have made it clear on more than one occasion, that my dilemma here is not a question of "merely going to the dentist" but rather a question of "saving lives." Don't be foolish enough to think that this horrid joke has been resolved. Shayne's and my health have been damaged by the experiences we have suffered. For instance, I suffered a severe skin rash and eye problems after being thrown in the cell and touched with latex gloves, pulling an elastic from my hair. The persons who interrogated me said they had also talked with Shayne. I hope she wasn't locked up like me.
ps. Since Shayne's re-emergance, Tom's brother and sister-in-law have seemed to disappeared since Tom saw them at the funeral of someone in Scotland. They should have arrived back last Sunday. So now Tom seems disturbed. I hope he receives convincing word from them, before his trip to Denmark at the end of the month. At any rate, I have warned him
about flying, because the data about flight arrivals seems to be fudged in many cases. Some flights predicted to land never do, actually, and the data is quickly fudged over whenever the flight times are updated. Flying anywhere from where we are is an obstacle course.
