Dear Lucille,No my situation has not improved. I have yet to reach Shayne over the telephone and I have had absolutely no response to my letters about the withholding of my income. The original letter was sent by Mrs. Chan, who was an assistant or colleague of the supervisor of the office. I believe she has a family connection with the Deurwaarder Office, as the judge connected with this agency is Mr. Tan. Everything occurred as if someone had gotten into my records and changed the red tape by their own accord, because they know there is no real government here as before. Algean called and described a similar case of withholding of WAO income of another person he knew, who owns a bookstore near the Anne Frank house. The WAO office is closing after this year for new registrants and another program is being created for the next generation. I perceive that the state of affairs here is slowing reaching the pocketbooks of more and more persons here. Today I heard that the ING Bank is taking over ABBEY International Bank in England. I hope that is not the bank Thomas has his pension funds in, as he already received a letter from the tax office warning that his funds might be confiscated. ING took over the NMB bank, which was my original bank.
