Dear Lucille,I find it so pathetic how the enviroment here is. Still haven't gotten through to Shayne and today I asked Thomas to try from his work, because the phones in this house are always dodgy, but he said he only got Voice, after calling twice. Tomorrow I will try to reach her at work or via someone else's number, but now I am beginning to feel low. About three weeks ago there was a news report about a fire that broke out in some apartments. The apartments in the photos looked kind of familiar, possibly similar to those on Shayne's street, but the news announcer never gave the address, just somewhere in Amsterdam. This is the way I have always had to live here. I have been so incompacitated with physical conditions and outside my house, on the boats, are persons who come into the neighborhood to beam futuristic lights into my flat if the curtains or open or who strike up lethal cigarettes and throw them in the road, as I walk by, so as to cause a tremendous physical reaction of my skin. Little sparks land on my face which burrow under the skin and then secrete hoards of pus and mucous which makes the skin thick looking, as it swells. And eventually, under transforming, invisible radiation, the sparks metamorphize into hard little biological insects, impossible to move or to get rid of.... Anyway, the world is unnatural here. I have been nursing my face and putting ointments on Thomas' swollen ankles (same condition) and trying to hold on. But now I must go out and find my daughter, which I can't do, because of this enviroment here and because of my disfigured appearance. So it is hell. Probably all of the phones we use are diverted because the computers and TV are also often tampered with from outside the house. Well, I just pray Shayne is not suffering or missing. If all my effort could ever pay off, I would be out of here, even though I would have to find Shayne and then I would have to try to walk the mine field of the airport, where they stop so many people now. The people get sick before getting on the plane or their possessions have to be thoroughly search, even to the point their planes are missed....at least that's what's shown on TV. The US looks so good on TV.
